In its March round of support Nordisk Film & TV Fond has chipped in a total of NOK7,330,000 in production support to three feature films, two fiction/TV series and three documentaries.

- En underbar jävla jul directed by Helena Bergström (pictured) for Sweetwater’s producer Petra Jönsson was awarded NOK 1.3 million. The Swedish comedy on modern families and their continual struggle to ‘do the right thing’ stars Anastasios Soulis, Rakel Wärmländer, Anton Lundqvist, Robert Gustafsson, Maria Lundqvist, and Helena Bergström. Filming started 10 days ago. SF handles domestic and international distribution.

- Flykten till framtiden, the Swedish fantasy/romantic comedy by Ulf Malmros produced by Jan Blomgren (Bob Film) was awarded NOK 1.5 million.

-Primus Motor by Rune Denstad Langlo produced by Sigve Endresen (Motlys) was awarded NOK 1 million. The Norwegian director’s third feature film focuses on a racist hotel owner who tries to open a refugee center to save his business from bankruptcy. Filming starts on April 15.

- The Mine by Finnish director Aleksi Salmenperä produced by Annika Sucksdorff (Helsinki filmi) was awarded NOK 800,000. The story of a great plan and what lies beneath is based on a script by Pekka Pesonen.

- Dragonheart, the 10X15’ Swedish TV series based on Anna Ehring’s August prize-nominated novel ”Syltmackor och Oturslivet” was awarded NOK 900,000. Linda-Maria Birbeck and Klas Karterud direct for producers Mint’s Helene Mohlin and Leif Mohlin and SVT.

- Kiwi & Strit, the Danish animated series for kids directed by Esben Toft Jacobsen (The Great Bear) was awarded NOK 700,000. Ann Sofie Hansen-Skovmoes produces for Copenhagen Bombay.

-Good, the Norwegian documentary directed and produced by Margreth Olin was awarded NOK 300,000. The film about hope and what happens when you believe in the best people is produced by Speranza Film.

- The Acali Experiment, the Swedish documentary by Marcus Lindeen (Regretters) produced by Erik Gandini and Juan Libossart (Fasad) was awarded NOK 700,000. The project in pre-production recounts the story of five men and six women who in the summer of 1973, embarked on a 101 day long sea-adventure on a raft drifting across the Atlantic. The mission is to understand the origins of violence and aggression. Forty years later the crew reunite to talk about it.

- Twisters, the Swedish documentary directed by Hanna Heilborn (Slaves) for Story’s Malin Hüber and Tobias Janson was awarded NOK 130,000. The story of a young girl who competes in cheerleading, is part of the Nordic ‘Ultra Sport Kids initiative launched by Story with Final Cut for Real (Denmark) and Sant & Usant (Norway).
