Filmlance International has teamed up again with Arne Dahl and Beck series writing duo Rolf and Cilla Börjlind (pictured) for the new crime drama Spring Tide (Springfloden) produced for SVT.

The 10x45’ series is based on the Börjlind’s eponymous debut crime novel, part of a crime trilogy featuring detective Tom Stilton and Police Academy Cadet Olivia Rönning. The brutal murder of a pregnant woman, buried alive on a beach, back in 1990, remains unsolved until Olivia takes on the case. 

In the main title roles are Kjell Bergqvist (30 Degrees in February, Death of a Pilgrim) and Julia Ragnarsson (The Bridge, Season 2). They are joined by Helena Bergström, Dag Malmberg, Johan Widerberg, Cecilia Nilsson, Dar Salim, Mikael Segerström and Angela Kovacs. 

The concept directors are Mattias Ohlsson and Niklas Ohlson (The Sandham Murders, Arne Dahl) and Pontus Klänge is episodic director. Filming just started and cast and crew will travel from Gothenburg, Nordkoster, Stockholm and Costa Rica.

Filmlance International - part of the Endemol Shine Group - is producing in cooperation with SVT, Film Väst, NADCON, Lumiere, ZDF, with support from the Swedish Film Institute and Nordisk Film & TV Fond. Endemol Shine International handles world distribution. Airing on SVT is scheduled for 2016. Filmlance will then adapt for television Rolf and Cilla Börjlind’s subsequent books in the series The Third Voice (Den tredje rösten) and Black Dawn (Svart gryning).
