After six years as Head of Fiction for DR, Nadia Kløvedal Reich is stepping down at the end of this month. The news was announced yesterday by DR. Piv Bernth, current Head of Drama, is taking over the high profile position at the Danish pubcaster.

Commenting on Kløvedal Reich’s departure, DR Culture Director Morten Hesseldahl said: “Together with Head of Drama Piv Bernth, Head of Fiction Nadia Kløvedal Reich has played a key role in DR Fiction’s generational shift. They have carried further the legacy from DR Fiction’s grand old man Ingolf Gabold and have created a new era for DR's drama productions based both on a maintenance and development of the traditions. They have built a solid organization, capable of handling work on several major productions in parallel, and as part of this, they have put together a strong new team of writers, producers and directors. Nadia Kløvedal Reich is behind several successes including Arvingerne (The Legacy) and some of the upcoming drama series that viewers can look forward to watching such as 1864, 2 mand frem (English title Restaurant) and the upcoming Christmas calendar Tidsrejsen (‘Time Travel’)."

Kløvedal Reich said: “Having been on a great journey with DR Fiction over the past six years, I’m now going out there to find inspiration. It's been great to head DR’s drama productions during a period when our work has been distinguished with awards both at home and abroad. It has been a privilege to be involved in reuniting the Danes in large communities and create a common framework of reference on Sunday evening. But what applies for drama series –stopping at a climax- also applies for me, and therefore it is time for me to move on. "
