The Swedish mystery thriller Jordskott produced by Palladium for SVT and Danish family drama The Legacy/Arvingerne Season 2 produced by DR Fiction have been voted Best TV Dramas of the year at the annual Swedish and Danish television awards.

Last Sunday, at the Kristallen TV awards in Sweden transmitted live on TV3, SVT grabbed 9 of the 16 TV awards, while TV4 won the most awards (4) among the commercial broadcasters. Besides the TV Drama Award to Jordskott, (pictured) the SVT commissioned drama series Viva Hate produced by Anagram won Best TV Actress (Lena Endre) and Best TV Actor (Peter Andersson). The pubcaster’s three hour documentary Astrid directed by Kristina Lindström won Best Documentary Programme of the year.

The Tvprisen awards were given out by the Danish television industry on August 14 during the Copenhagen TV Festival. TV2 grabbed 13 awards, DR 12 awards and TV3 two awards . DR’s Arvingerne/The Legacy Season 2 that had already won numerous awards such as two FIPA d’or and five Robert awards, beat other strong contenders for Best TV Drama of the year such as 1864, Badehotellet Season 2, Rita Season 3, Bankerot and Tidsrejsen.

The TVprisen for Best Documentary went to Ekstra Bladet-uden for citat (The Newsroom-Off the Record) by Mikala Krogh, produced by Danish Documentary.
