The third film in Jussi Adler-Olsen’s Department Q franchise is adapted for the screen by Nikolaj Arcel. Main actors Nikolaj Lie Kaas and Fares Fares are joined by Jakob Oftebro and Pål Sverre Hagen. Filming has started between Denmark and Germany and delivery date is set for February 2016. Nordisk Film handles distribution in Denmark and Norway.
Nobel produced by Håkon Briseid for Norway’s Monster Film was granted NOK 3 million. The 8x45’ TV drama is based on director Per-Olav Sørensen’s original idea, brought to the screen by writers Mette Marit Bøstad and Stephen Uhlander. Aksel Hennie plays the lead role, alongside Anders Danielsen Lie, and Tuva Novotny. Filming in Norway will soon move to Prague and in Morocco. NRK will premiere the show in 2016. World sales are handled by DRG.
Spring Tide (Springfloden) produced by Francy Suntinger for Filmlance International was granted NOK 2,250,000. The 10x45’ series is written by Rolf and Cilla Börjlind, from their own debut novel. The brutal murder of a pregnant woman, buried alive on a beach, back in 1990, remains unsolved until Police Academy cadet Olivia (Julia Ragnarsson) takes on the case.Filming is underway between Sweden and Costa Rica. The premiere on SVT is set for 2016. Endemol Shine International handles world distribution.
Transformation produced by Signe Byrge Sørensen and Heidi Elise Christensen for Final Cut for Real was granted NOK 450,000. Camilla Magid has started filming the documentary set in Los Angeles, about three characters, fighting their separate battles to stay out of crime.
