Super indies NonStop Entertainment in Sweden and Submarine Entertainment in the US have joined forces to create NonStopSubmarine, a new documentary label set to release 10-15+ titles on theatrical, digital, DVD, TV and streaming platforms in the Nordic and Baltic countries as well as Benelux.

New-York based Submarine is a sales, distribution and production company working on high quality features and documentaries. The company has previously collaborated with Non-Stop on several titles such as Searching for Sugar Man, Dior & I, or Bobby Fischer Against the World.

The first films to be released by NonStop Submarine include Peggy Guggenheim: Art Addict, Chris Burden: Double Bind, Kenny Scharf doc, Sneakerheadz, Welcome to Leith, Heady Days (Hedy Lamarr doc), and Mavis!.

“Scandinavian audiences are amongst the most sophisticated in the world and doc crazy and we look forward to supplying great films, stories and human voices from around the world by great directors as we help to expand the doc market in Scandinavia with NonStop and worldwide," said Submarine managing directors David Koh, Dan Braun, and Josh Braun.

NonStop Entertainment headed by Jakob Abrahamsson has had great successes in recent years with local documentaries such as Searching for Sugarman (148,000 admissions) and now Ingrid Bergman in Her Own Words, which has sold more than 181,000 tickets since its August 25, 2015 release, making it the second biggest Swedish documentary since 2000 after Palme (243,000 admissions).

The next Swedish documentary to be released in Sweden by NonStop Entertainment is The Swedish Theory of Love by Erik Gandini set to premiere on January 8, 2016.
