Norwegian director/writer Sara Johnsen and Danish animation director/comics artist Anders Morgenthaler will be sitting on the jury of the 16th Nordic Talents unspooling August 31-September 2 at Copenhagen’s National Film School of Denmark.

Other jury members include the prominent Swedish producer Lars Blomgren, Filmlance International, Kristina Trapp, CEO of the leading European training programme for audio-visual producers EAVE and Petja Peltomaa, scriptwriter and producer, Head of Drama at Yellow Film.

The five professionals will judge 15 pre-selected projects from Nordic graduating film students who will compete for the NOK 250.000 Nordic Talents Pitch Prize and the NOK 50.000 Nordic Talents Special Mention Prize. 

The prizes consisting of development funding granted by Nordisk Film & TV Fond will be awarded on Friday September 2.

Nordic Talents is one of Nordisk Film & TV Fond flagship annual events, organized together with the National Film School of Denmark. The networking platform is a unique stepping stone for Nordic film students wishing to enter the film and television industries. Several Nordic Talents attendees and winners are now established filmmakers such as Karzan Kader, Michael Noer, Marja Pyykkö, Rúnar Rúnarsson and Erik Richter Strand. Last year’s winner of the Nordic Talents Pitch Prize was Iceland’s Thordur Pálsson for his project Stuck in Dundalk.
