Norsk Filmdistribusjon takes over from Action Film which has handled all Scanbox cinema releases in 2014. The pan-Nordic distribution group will continue to oversee the Norwegian release of its titles on DVD and VOD via its Swedish and Danish offices. In the rest of Scandinavia, Scanbox has its own distribution set ups and in Finland, outsourcing is limited to theatrical, with Finnkino handling Scanbox cinema releases.
Upcoming Scanbox titles to be released in Norwegian cinemas by Norsk Filmdistribusjon in 2015 include the actioner Taken 3, Big Eyes by Tim Burton, Carol by Todd Haynes starring Cate Blanchett and foreign language Oscar reps Human Capital (Italy), St Laurent (France) and Wild Tales (Argentina).
