Karolina Lidin, Nordisk Film & TV Fond Documentary advisor said: “It’s always exciting when the Nordisk Panorama Competition is unveiled. And this year certainly does not disappoint - what an impressive range of cinematic vision, engaging stories & important issues! This is a unique chance, not only to catch up on the many Nordic prize-winners and festival favourites in the main competitions, but also explore the fringes of emerging talent in New Nordic Voices. I look forward to surprising and inspiring days in Malmö in September!”

Another 14 titles are competing for the Best New Nordic Voice award and its €3.500 cash prize sponsored by regional film centres and 14 Nordic short films have a chance to win €7,000. A total of 610 films were submitted for Nordisk Panorama’s three competition sections.

The parallel industry event Nordisk Panorama Forum for Co-financing of Documentaries (September 20-22) will present 24 brand new documentary projects to be pitched to nearly 60 decision-makers and another 20 ‘Observer+ projects’ will have access to face to face meetings with key industry people.
