Joachim Fjelstrup (27) graduated from The Danish National School of Performing Arts in 2013. He had his breakthrough in Ole Christian Madsen's Itsi Bitsi (Steppeulven) in which he plays Eik Skaløe, the founder of ‘Steppeulvene’, one of the biggest Danish rock bands in the 1960s. Fjelstrup sang and performed live for the film.

The European Film Promotion’s annual Shooting Stars showcase is an important promotional platform for European rising stars. On February 9, 2015 this year’s ten promising European actors and actresses will be handed out an individual award celebrating their achievement as part of a red carpet ceremony at the Berlinale Palast.
