Nordisk Film & TV Fond is proud to be associated with the record six Guldbagge wins for Ruben Östlund’s Force Majeure, three wins for Michael Marcimain’s Gentlemen and single wins for Roy Andersson’s A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence, Göran Hugo Olsson’s Concerning Violence and Henrik Hellström’s The Quiet Roar.

Last Monday evening at Stockholm’s Cirkus, Force Majeure (Turist) swept the floor with six wins for Best Film, Director, Supporting Actor, Screenplay, Cinematography and Editing, and became the first film ever to go back home with that many Guldbagges.

The successful cross-border collaboration between talents and directors in the Nordic region was reflected in the Best Supporting Actor award handed out to Norwegian star Kristofer Hivju for Force Majeure and Sverrir Gudnason, Swedish actor with Icelandic origins voted Best Leading Actor for Blowfly Park (Flugparken).

The atmospheric Gentlemen set in the 60s-70s won Best Costume, Make Up and Music, Andersson’s Golden Lion winner in Venice A Pigeon Sat on a Branch…won Best Set Design, Olsson’s Concerning Violence was awarded Best Documentary Film, and Andreas Franck Best Sound for The Quiet Roar.
