Horror-thriller, supernatural, sci-fi by Silver Films

The established team of producer Frida Hallberg and writer/director/producer Olivier Guerpillon aim for an international co-finacing and also pitched the project in Cannes in May 2016. They describe their project CAR:Y as a psychological horror-thriller with technological and supernatural elements. It is set in contemporary Sweden, but it revolves around a classical sci-fi ingredient, a little robot, and it unfolds into a ghost story. The film blends the Nordic supernatural tradition of ghosts and nature mysticism with high-technological elements, in a sense that is quite new for Scandinavian cinema and more reminiscent of modern horror films from Japan, France or Spain.
