Howard Gordon and Alex Cary, co-executive producers of the multiple Emmy award-winning series Homeland are teaming up again for another foreign TV remake, the Icelandic legal drama The Court (pictured - Réttur) to be renamed Ritter for the US. Homeland just grabbed six Prime time Emmy awards (including Best TV Drama) last Sunday. Iceland's prolific film and TV writer Sigurjón Kjartansson created the original TV series The Court that focuses on a successful attorney whose troubled past follows him around. The Icelandic TV series produced by Saga Film was an instant hit on Channel 2 who commissioned a second season. The US remake will be produced by Howard Gordon's company Teakwood Lane with 20th Century Fox. The Court is sold internationally by Nordic World.
