French actress Charlotte Gainsbourg who plays Joe in Lars von Trier’s Nymphomaniac was awarded on Saturday evening the Bodil award for Best Actress from the Danish Film Critics Association. Nymphomaniac which has sold over 43,000 tickets in Denmark was the favourite with six nominations, on par with Thomas Vinterberg’s The Hunt, but Gainsbourg’s award was the only win for Lars von Trier’s film, whereas The Hunt collected four Bodils for Best Film, Leading Actor (Mads Mikkelsen), Supporting Actress (Susse Wold) and Cinematography (Charlotte Bruus Christensen). Roland Møller won Best Supporting Actor (Northwest), Rasmus Thjellesen Best Set Design for The Keeper of Lost Causes, and Andreas Johnsen’s Ai Wei Wei-The Fake Case won Best Documentary. CPH:DOX’s Tine Fischer was handed out the Sær-Bodil and actor Jesper Langberg an Honorary Bodil.
