Both series just received support from the Finnish Film Foundation.

The 10-part series The Peacemaker (Rauhantekijät) is produced by MRP Matila Röhr Productions for YLE. The story written by Erikka Etholén focuses on a team of Finnish peacemakers who work in an international conflict zone, but also try to solve the conflicts in their own pasts.

The main character Ann-Mari Koistinen has recently retired from her post as a crisis response adviser in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, when she is invited by the UN to lead an international conflict resolution process in Turkey. She has to reconcile with her past before her personal life comes in the way of the whole peace process.  The €7.7m series was granted €150,000 support from the Finnish Film Foundation.

Sphere of Shadows (Varjojen kehä) is produced by Zodiak Finland. The 10-part series is written by the experienced author screenwriter Kirsti Manninen (Kansan mies) and her daughter Katri Manninen (FC Venus). Producer and Zodiak Finland CEO Teea Hyytiä said details of the storyline and production partners will be unveiled later this summer. The €4 million series was granted €150,000.
