The winners of the 57th Monte-Carlo TV Festival were announced on Tuesday. Hennie beat other strong contenders in the Male Acting category: Gustav Hammarsten for the Swedish/French thriller Midnight Sun, Jude Law for The Young Pope (Italy/France/Spain/US) and Rufus Sewel for Victoria (UK).

The Norwegian political/war drama was also running for Best TV Drama series and Best Actress (Tuva Novotny) but lost in both categories to the period drama Victoria. Nobel was produced by Monster Scripted with support from Nordisk Film & TV Fond. Norway picked up a second award in Monte-Carlo for Best Documentary with Pål Refsdal’s film about suicide bombers in Syria, Dugma: The Button produced by Medieoperatørene.
