Stockholm-based Partners and Stories handle authors and book rights to publishers Natur & Kultur, Piratförlaget and Weyler, as well as other brands.

Besides Jonasson, author of the best-selling novel The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared, other literary talents already associated to film or TV drama include Klas Östergren (Gentlemen).

Albatros Agency’s co-founder Martina Österling said: “We are very excited about this partnership. We are now a unique home as a business partner to our clients and one-stop-shop service for producers in terms of creating a foundation for their projects. A big part of our day-to-day activity is working together with producers and helping them in finding the best possible talent for their projects. In the same way we work across all our clients’ projects and help attach producers that fit.

Asked what sets Albatros Agency apart from competitors, Österling said her company does not represent actors or international sales of books, and is therefore “entirely focused on enabling the creation of storytelling for film and TV.”

“Because both Elin and I have previously worked in the industry in both Scandinavian TV-production and international film distribution, we have a great understanding of the lifecycle of projects and the value of both our clients contribution and the content being produced. The core of Albatros is the belief that without our clients, the writers, screenwriters, directors and composers in our industry, there would be no storytelling, no content to producer and no films/TV watch,” she notes.

Screenwriters repped by Albatros include Peter Birro (438 Days), Jörgen Hjert (Sthlm Requiem, Blue Eyes) and directors Bjorn Runge (The Wife), Iram Haq (What Will people Say) and Jens Lien (Beforeigners).
