The experienced Swedish producer who is currently working at Avanti Film, will start her new job in February 2017. Croneman has over 30 films and TV dramas to her production credit, such as the 2006 International Emmy award nominated mini series Kronprinsessan (Those-in Power-The Crown), the films Sanctuary and In Your Veins. In 2015 she founded the production company Avanti Film with Charlotta Denward and Anna Anthony. She has also held various industry positions such as vice chairman of the Swedish Film Institute’s Board of Directors and President of the Swedish Film & TV Producers Association’s film section.

SVT’s Stockholm Head of Programme Department Andreas Bedinger said: “Anna is a skilled and experienced producer of television drama and feature films. She is also a person who has demonstrated clarity, courage and conviction in both the running of the creative processes and in her leadership. These are essential skills to developing drama and film in close collaboration with the creators and the industry.”

Anna Croneman said: ”It is an exciting time for TV drama, a time of great challenges for channels, creators and production companies, but also a time of great opportunity for growth and innovation. SVT's role as a producer in the future media landscape has perhaps never been more important.”

SVT Drama has broadcast major shows this year such as Spring Tide, 30 Degrees in February, Midnight Sun, and the pubcaster is betting on the third season of Miss Friman’s War scheduled for the Christmas holidays to renew with the mini-series’ earlier successes (season 1 had a 41.8% share of all viewing with over 1.6 million viewers).

Croneman replaces Christian Wikander who is now Co-production Director at UK-based Pinewood Television.
