Eighteen promising Nordic talents, 20 top Nordic producers and the creators of the Swedish award-winning film Border will take centre stage at the 18th Nordic Talents in Copenhagen.

More than 200 Nordic graduating film students and industry delegates are expected at Nordic Talents (September 5-6) co-organised by Nordisk Film & TV Fond and the National Film School of Denmark.

This year’s edition includes:

  • A Graduating Students’ Pitch with 15 projects vying for the DKK 250.000 top prize and DKK 50,000 Special Mention. 
  • This year’s jury comprises Finnish director Marja Pyykkö, Norwegian director Izer Aliu, Danish animator/director Jørgen Lerdam, the Swedish Film Institute Feature Film Commissioner and former Zentropa Sweden CEO Madeleine Ekman, as well as Nordic correspondent to Screendaily and Nordic Scout for the San Sebastian Film Festival Wendy Mitchell.  
  • A Producers’ Pitch from established and upcoming professionals such as Denmark’s former Nordic Talents winner and producer of The Guilty Lina Flint (Nordisk Film Spring), Jonas Bagger (Zentropa), Ronnie Fridthjof (Fridthjof Film), Rikke Ennis (REinvent Studios), Finland’s Kaarle Aho (Making Movies), Elli Toivoniemi (Tuffi Films), Iceland’s Kjartan Thor Thordarson (Saga Film), Norway’s Ruben Thorkildsen (Ape&Björn) and Yngve Sæther (Motlys), and Sweden’s David Herdies (Momento Film). The session will be moderated by HBO Nordic’s Hanne Palmquist. 
  • a Master Class with the team behind the Cannes Un Certain Regard winning film Border, director Ali Abbasi, producers Piodor Gustafsson (Spark Film & TV) and Nina Bisgaard (Meta Film/SAM Productions).
