Vilhelm Blomgren makes his TV drama debut in the eight-part series written and directed by Lukas Moodysson for Memfis Film.

Blomgren is an established Swedish actor and singer who played in the musicals Hair at Göteborg Opera House and in My Fair Lady at Stockholm City Theatre. In Moodysson’s upcoming TV series, he plays 28-year old child psychologist Gösta who gets his first job in a small rural town. He wants to be the kindest person in the world and help everyone he meets, but it doesn’t always go according to plan.

Other key cast include Amy Deasismont, Mattias Silvell, Clara Christiansson, Regina Lund, ElisabetCarlsson, Nidhal Fares and Gustav Berg.

The 8x45 comedy series is produced by Memfis Film’s Lars Jönsson, executive produced for HBO by Hanne Palmquist, Steve Matthews and Antony Root.

Gösta is currently filming in the Småland forests; it will premiere on HBO Nordic and across HBO Europe territories in the fall 2019.
