Torfinn Iversen selected for Berlin’s Generation Kplus has joined the sales’ agent roster of new Nordic talents.

Norway’s Torfinn Iversen is making his debut in Berlin with his family film Oskar’s America, about a 10-year old boy who dreams of crossing the Atlantic to find his mother. The co-production between Norway’s Original Film and Sweden’s Bob Film is having its world premiere on Sunday at the European Film Market (EFM) before its official Generation screening at the Zoo Palast on Wednesday.

Also selected at Generation is first time New-Zealander Jackie van Beek with The Inland Road.

At the EFM, LevelK is screening newcomer Finnish director Jussi Hiltunen’s Law of the Land (Making Movies), currently playing at number 8 in Finland. The young director was selected in Berlin in 2012 with his short film All Hallow’s Week.

The Icelandic film Cruelty that had its EFM premiere yesterday is Anton Sigurdsson’s second feature. The film was the second best-selling domestic film in 2016.

Tine Klint’s team will continue sales as well on the Dragon award-winning film Sami Blood by newcomer Amanda Kernell, selected for Berlin’s NATIVe. The Swedish drama has already been sold to a dozen territories including the US.

Meanwhile as part of the company’s strategy to use every platform to help each film reach the widest possible audience, LevelK has just created a digital platform exclusively for Christian Tafdrup’s debut feature Parents. The triple Roberts award winner film is available on iTunes, Vimeo, GooglePlay, Blockbuster and SF Anytime and it will be on Filmstriben from May 6, 2017.
