The jury members for the NOK 200,000 (€ 20,000) Nordic TV Drama Screenplay Award 2020 have been announced.

For the fourth consecutive year, the award for outstanding writing of a Nordic drama series, funded by Nordisk Film & TV Fond, will be presented during the Göteborg Film Festival’s TV Drama Vision industry event. 

This year’s Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize jury consists of acclaimed Norwegian actor Jakob Oftebro (Agent HamiltonKon-Tiki), Swedish actor Moa Gammel (JordskottTommy), Polish award-winning producer and director Dariusz Jabłoński (PhotographerThe Pleasure Principle) and Norwegian journalist Cecilie Asker (Aftenposten).

Each year a selection of outstanding drama series from the five Nordic countries are nominated for the € 20,000 award, which goes to the main writer(s). The 2020 nominees will be announced later in December 2019. The award ceremony will take place on January 29, 2020 at the Göteborg Film Festival’s TV Drama Vision, in conjunction with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Nordisk Film & TV Fond.

Last year’s winners of the Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize were Merja Aakko and Mika Ronkainen, writers of the Finnish TV drama All the Sins (Kaikki Synnit).

  • Jakob Oftebro (Actor, Norway)
    Jakob Oftebro is one of Scandinavia’s most sought after actors. Since 2004 he has starred in more than 20 feature films including the Oscar nominated epic Kon-Tiki, When Animals Dream, and won Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the Danish film The Man. Acclaimed TV series to his credit include The Bridge, Dag, Lilyhammer and Warrior. He plays the main role in the Swedish series Agent Hamilton.  
  • Moa Gammel (Actor, Sweden)
    Moa Gammel made her acting debut in Mikael Håfström’s mini series House of Shadows. Her resume includes the Swedish series Jordskott, Irene Huss and the film Tommy. In 2020 Gammel will star in the thriller feature Breaking Surface, release her first novel, and make her directorial debut with the family film Lassemajas detektivbyrå – tågrånarens hemlighet.
  • Dariusz Jabłoński (Producer/Director, Poland)
    Dariusz Jabłoński is one of the leading independent producers in Poland. He is a director, scriptwriter, producer and founder of Apple Film Production. He is president of the Polish Film Academy and Vice-President of the European Producers' Club. Recently he directed and produced The Pleasure Principle, the first high-end international co-production drama series originated and shot in Eastern Europe.
  • Cecilie Asker (Journalist, Norway)
    Cecilie Asker is the culture editor of the Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten. She is also one of the founders of the Norwegian TV series festival, Seriedagene Oslo, as well as the hosts of the popular TV series podcast Serieprat. When she is not working, watching new TV series, she´s the drummer of the rock band The Launderettes.
