SF Studios Production Denmark and TV2 have teamed up again on the returning season of the Danish drama set in Northern Jutland.

The 6-part Nordic noir just received support from the Danish Film Institute’s Public Service Fund, alongside the West Danish Film Fund and Frederikshavn municipality.

Producer Lars Bjørn of SF Studios Production Denmark said: “The cast is finalised. Locations in Frederikshavn are finalised. We are still working on the script, but it will also be finalised soon. It is no secret that it is expensive to produce a television series, and it is thanks to new support from the Public Service Fund that the full financing has fallen into place.”

Katrine Vogelsang, TV2 Danmark Head of Drama added: “Norskov season one was a big production which took a year to write, and at TV 2 we were not fully satisfied with the 600,000 average viewers. But then we saw that the demand was enormous and the series received a lot of attention on TV 2 PLAY.”

The returning season created again by Dunja Gry Jensen is set to start filming on March 28, with a premiere on TV2 in the fall. The original show was sold by DR Sales to key territories including ARTE France, Lumiere for Benelux and C4/Walter Presents for the UK.
