10-part series stars Lars Ranthe (The Hunt) and Lene Maria Christensen (The Legacy) is Viaplay’s first original Danish show.

Filming starts on November 13 on Pro’s and Con’s (Friheden), created by writer Thor Bjørn Krebs and writer/director Mikkel Serup (The Reunion 2: The Funeral).

Ranthe and Christensen co-star as Erik and Nina, a couple leading a quiet family life in the Copenhagen suburbs while trying to hide their dramatic past as Denmark’s most notorious con artists. But it’s only a matter of time before Erik and Nina once again have to balance parent-teacher meetings, lunch boxes and mortgage payments with pulling off the biggest swindle of all.

Stine Meldgaard (Something’s Rockin’) and Morten Kjems Hytten Juhl (Below the Surface) are producing and SAM co-founder Meta Louise Foldager Sørensen serves as executive producer.

The series will premiere exclusively on MTG Studios’ Nordic streaming in 2018 and later on TV3. SAM Productions co-owner Studiocanal handles world distribution.

Jakob Mejlhede, MTG EVP and Head of Programming and Content Development said: “Danish audiences love great drama – and Erik and Nina’s efforts to balance domestic life with one final grand con will have viewers everywhere hooked from the very first episode. Our objective is to be the Nordic region’s leading producer of original drama, and our slate of original series now covers unique storytelling from Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and the US.”

Several Nordic high-end Nordic dramas have premiered recently on Viaplay: Occupied Season 2, Hassel and Alex.

The next series to open on November 20 is Swedish Dicks season 2 starring Peter Stormare and Johan Glans.
