The two directors are taking part in SVT and the Swedish Film Institute’s tribute to Ingmar Bergman, alongside four of their Swedish colleagues.

The six directors – alongside promising Swedish scriptwriters and artists - will create a 10-minute short film inspired by Bergman’s universe, thanks to a SEK1 million grant from the Swedish pubcaster and the SFI. The six films will premiere at the Göteborg Film Festival 2018 and will air on SVT in the summer 2018, to coincide with the great master’s 100’s anniversary.

The other directors are Lisa Aschan, Patrick Eklund, Linus Tunström, and Jane Magnusson.

“Bergman’s footprint will be in the films from some of today's most interesting, active directors and artists. A new generation has a chance to discover Bergman, while an older generation has the opportunity to meet him in a new shape,” said Helena Ingelsten, producer and editor of SVT short films.

“It's been a privilege to take part in all the great projects, and we are so curious about the selected projects,” said the SFI’s short film commissioner Andreas Fock.
