Canal+ in France is among the latest broadcasters to have acquired the Norwegian high concept show created by Erik Richter Strand.

Other deals closed by Paris-based world distributor APC (About Premium Content) include Canal+’s Ale Kino in Poland, UPC in Switzerland, Rialto in New Zealand, Deutsche Telekom in Germany, with Studio Hamburg securing home entertainment and EST rights for German speaking countries.

The 8-part TV series about a surgeon (Sven Nordin) trying to save his wife’s life in an underground clinic was produced by Tordenfilm for NRK, with support among others from Nordisk Film & TV Fond.

The futuristic thriller which won Best TV Drama and Best Actor (Pål Sverrir Hagen) at this year’s Norwegian Gullruten television awards, is currently available on Walter Presents in the UK. English language remake rights were sold to UK producer Liza Marshall of Hera Pictures. Mark Strong is set to reprise the title role played by Nordin.
