Nordic Talents is set for September 6 to 8 in Copenhagen. See the full list of participants and those participating in the Producer's Pitch taking place Friday September 7 between 20.30 and 22.00 and schedule for the full programme.

We follow 2-4 occasions of the distribution of the inheritance, the heirs relationship to the inherited property and to each other's; Who gets what share and why involves potential conflict.


THE DE VILLES

The De Villes is the story about the American couple Kitten and Shawn De Ville who lives in a self-made 1950'ies time bubble in contemporary LA. 38-year-old Kitten makes her living as a burlesque stripper and pin-up model and Shawn is a true rockabilly - and they live their retro-life to the fullest.

They live in a small village, they are neighbours, but they don't talk to each other. Carpenter Poul Jepsen and farmer Frost had a fight 15 years ago and they have very different opinions of what happened back then. In this bittersweet humorous film they finally meet and talk.

Træfpunkt is a tragic comical ensemble story about 3 people; Jens, a lifestyle coach searching for his own identity - Rikke, a school teacher with no authority and self-esteem and Helge, a schizophrenic writer with a writing block. They are all calling Træfpunkt, an anonymous phone line, for help.


RIBE FEATURE FILM / DRAMA

Ribe is a film about injustice. A 7-year-old girl, placed in a refugee centre in the oldest Danish town Ribe, is raped and severely hurt by a mentally deranged man. The centre is on the verge of a riot but strong powers are fighting back. The film is based on a true story.


DRØMMEFABRIKKEN

Drømmefabrikken is the story about a Cuban boxing school. Hundreds of talented boys are being trained here to become the next world champion. The boys live a tough physical and highly disciplinary life dreaming about being able to economically secure their families and bringing honour to Cuba - their country.

All directors' graduation films will be screened before relevant pitch.

Each pitch is 5 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of questions from
moderator and jury.

The Jury will select the best project. Saturday at 19:20, the Nordic Talents

Pitch Award will be announced (NOK. 250.000). If the jury wishes to do so a Special Mention Award (NOK. 50.000) will also be announced. The Prizes are given as a development support according to Nordisk Film & TV Fonds guidelines.
