The Shift, an emotional, contemporary workplace drama, transpires in a maternity ward: a special, almost secret arena, where a vast majority of us still at some point spend the most crucial hours of our lives. Throughout a busy and stressful workday, they experience their biggest conflicts and most heartfelt joys, while striving to meet sky-high professional and personal standards.

Lone Scherfig's bio
Born in Copenhagen, Lone Scherfig studied at The National Film School of Denmark. Her film Italian for Beginnersgave gave her an international breakthrough. It was followed by six English language features: Wilbur Wants To Kill Himself, An Education, One Day, The Riot Club and Their Finest. The Kindness of Strangers opened the Berlin Film Festival in 2019.
