The practical guide is an essential tool for international producers and financiers wishing to co-produce with the Nordic region or to tap into the local tax incentives and cash rebates. It is published by Nordisk Film & TV Fond, in collaboration with the Danish Film Institute, the Finnish Film Foundation, the Icelandic Film Centre, the Norwegian Film Institute, the Swedish Film Institute and Creative Europe’s MEDIA Desks.

The brochure comprises:

  • key contact points,
  • a brief description of the co-production schemes for each of the five national film institutes,
  • how to apply,
  • funds available,
  • deadlines to apply,
  • a list of minority co-productions supported in 2020,
  • and where applicable, regional film funds, film commissions, filming incentives and cash rebates.

A special section dedicated to Nordisk Film & TV Fond outlines the Fund’s mandate, production and distribution support, conditions to apply, funding available and a list of selected projects supported.

The section about the Creative Europe Desks in Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Norway and Sweden, provides basic information about their main roles and tasks.
