Fifteen projects from Nordic graduation film & TV students will be selected for the 21st pitching and networking event to be held online September 8-9, 2021.

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN - APPLY HERE

DEADLINE TO APPLY IS JUNE 1st 13:00 CEST

Nordic Talents organised by Nordisk Film & TV Fond is a unique opportunity for Nordic film & TV students who get a chance to network with 200+ industry people and fellow film graduates, and to win the NOK 250,000 Pitch Prize and NOK 50,000 Special Mention. The cash prize is handed out by Nordisk Film & TV Fond as development funding.

Nordic film or TV graduation students at BA or MA level, with a feature length film or TV/web-series at development stage are welcome to apply. Fiction, documentary, hybrid and animation project ideas are eligible.

From the applications, up to fifteen projects will be selected for the online pitching sessions in front of a professional jury and Nordic Talents attendees.

Those selected will attend a pitch training workshop prior to the event with experienced tutors Helene Granqvist and Paul Tyler.

Speaking about his experience at Nordic Talents, multi-awarded Icelandic writer/director Hlynur Pálmason (A White, White Day) who won a Special Mention for the idea of his debut feature Winter Brothers, said: “It’s always a good feeling when there is a platform that takes your work seriously. When you are fresh out of school, you somehow need exposure and a place to screen your work and have a dialogue. Nordic Talent is a good place to have this dialogue. Winning an award is a surplus and we used it for the development and preparation for Winter Brothers.”

Other graduation students who jumpstarted their careers at Nordic Talents include May el-Toukhy (Queen of Hearts), Marja Pyykkö (Paradise), Gustav Möller (The Guilty), Rúnar Rúnarsson (Volcano), or Maria Bäck (Psychosis in Stockholm) among others.
