Felicia Elisabeth Jackson, Ran Tellem and Evin Ahmad will announce the winner Feb 3rd.

The jury members for the NOK 200,000 (€ 20,000) Nordic TV Drama Screenplay Award 2021 are now official.

For the fifth consecutive year, the award for outstanding writing of a Nordic drama series, funded by Nordisk Film & TV Fond, will be handed out during TV Drama Vision, Göteborg Film Festival’s conference event and series market.

This year’s Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize jury members comprise the Israeli Emmy Award-winning producer and Head of International Content Development at The Mediapro Studio Ran Tellem (Homeland, The Head), Danish Festival Director of THIS - Future Stories & Engagement and Aarhus Series Felicia Elisabeth Jackson, and acclaimed Swedish actor Evin Ahmad (The Rain, Beyond Dreams, Snabba Cash reboot).

As previously announced, five Nordic drama series have been selected as the 2021 nominees for the prestigious script award. The winner will be announced at an award ceremony on February 3 during the 2021 online edition of TV Drama Vision.

    Nominated writer: Kim Fupz Aakeson 

Last year’s winner of the Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize was Sara Johnsen, writer of the Norwegian drama series 22 July (22 juli.).

The 44th Göteborg Film Festival will run from January 29 until February 8, 2021 as an online festival due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

TV Drama Vision will take place online on February 3 – 4, 2021.

Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize Jury 

  • Ran Tellem, Producer Head of International Content Development Mediapro Studio Ran Tellem.
    Primetime Emmy Award-winning producer of Homeland, joined The Mediapro Studio in 2016. Since then, he has worked with the Studio producers, showrunners and writers around the world to create and produce new content and formats for distribution worldwide. Among his most recent scripted works, he has developed the thriller series The Head and the Nordic noir The Paradise. Now, he is involved in the development of a new political thriller The Submarine and the Mexican project Implacables. 
  • Felicia Elisabeth Jackson, Festival Director
    Felicia Elisabeth Jackson is currently head of the leading industry festival THIS - Future Stories & Engagement and the public festival Aarhus Series, both of which are based in Filmby Aarhus. She is the former Head of Copenhagen TV Festival, CPH Transform and worked as a Senior Consultant at The Danish Broadcasting Corporation for many years. Felicia has a Master in Communication and an MBA in Management Development. 
  • Evin Ahmad Actor, author
    Evin Ahmad graduated from Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2015 and has since then worked as an actor in film, television and theatre. She plays the lead role in Netflix’s upcoming thriller series Snabba Cash (2021). She is also known for her performance in the series The Rain (2018-2020) and the feature film Beyond Dreams (2017), among others. In 2017, Ahmad published her debut novel ”One Day I Will Build a Castle of Money”. She is currently studying screenwriting at Alma Manusutbildning.
