The Director of Content at Bonnier Broadcasting will soon join SF Studios Board of Directors alongside Maria Curman.

The top female Swedish executives will take on their new roles in the spring 2017. The recruitment of Åsa Sjöberg as board member and Maria Curman (current Bonnier board member) as Chairman of the Board is described by SF Studios as a ‘very important step in the company’s future expansion with focus on commercial quality content for a broad audience.’

Åsa Sjöberg has worked at TV4 group since 1999 where she has held various senior positions. She is deputy Chairwoman on the board of Nordisk Film & TV Fond.

Maria Curman is a former CEO at SVT, Bonnier Publishing among others and currently also board member of Bonnier Books, Cappelen Damm A/S, Apoteket AB and Work For You.

Other SF Studios permanent board members include Mikael Lövgren, Peter Fornstam, Håkan Rudels and Anders Rydén. The Nordic major’s new CEO is Michael Porseryd.

SF Studios’ Swedish hit A Man Called Ove is nominated twice at the upcoming Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film and Best Make Up and Hairstyle.
