In its October round of support Nordisk Film & TV Fond has allocated NOK 5.65 million to the latest films by Hannes Holm, Simon Lereng-Wilmont and two TV series.

    The film is co-produced by SVT and Film i Väst, with support from the Swedish Film Institute.
    Log line: A Swedish Christmas Tale is the story about Karl-Bertil, son of rich department store manager, who on Christmas eve decides to act as his big hero Robin Hood: to steal from the rich and give to the poor. The film is based on Tage Danielsson’s beloved Christmas tale.

    Log line: As the war in Eastern Ukraine takes a heavy toll on poor families living near the frontline, a small group of strong-willed social workers work tirelessly in a special kind of orphanage to create an almost magical safe space for kids to live in.

    “Our ambition is to tell recognisable, refreshing stories about the aftermath of a divorce in a way that makes the viewer both laugh and cry,” said executive producer Lasse Hallberg.
