Stockholm-based St Paul Film co-headed by Fredrik Heinig and Johannes Ã…hlund, announced on Tuesday it had changed name to become B-Reel Feature Films, the feature film division of the B Reel group.

B-Reel is a leader in advanced digital production for web, mobile, physical installations. Named ‘Production Company of the Year (2011)' by trade publication AdAge/Creativity, B-Reel has offices in London, New York and Los Angeles. With the integration of St Paul Film (producer of Johan Kling's award-winning film Darling), the company now covers the entire scope of creative filmmaking, combining traditional story-telling with digital and interactive technology.

A handful of high profile film and TV projects are being developed by B-Reel Feature Films' production team comprising besides Heinig and Åhlund are Head of Development and Producer Patrik Andersson, Senior Advisor/Producer Mattias Nohrborg (also head of TriArt Films), Associate Producer Cecilia Nessen and Producer Frida Jonason.

The project list includes:

- Palme a documentary featuring former Swedish Prime Minister Olaf Palme, (pictured) 25 years after his death. The film, also made as a three part TV series as well as a feature version, is directed by Maud Nycander and Kristina Lindström. Benny Andersson of ABBA has written the music. Scanbox will handle the domestic release of the feature film in September 2012. The documentary was supported by Nordisk Film & TV Fond.

- Hotel is the second feature film written and directed by Lisa Langseth (Pure). The project is described as ‘a playful and absurd psychological drama about identity crisis in our modern age'. Producer Patrik Andersson said the €2m film is co-produced by Denmark's Nimbus Film and shooting in the Film i Väst region is scheduled to start on August 6. The name of the female lead will be announced next Friday in Cannes.

- Gentlemen and Gangsters is an adaptation of Klas Östergren's best-selling novels to be brought to the screen by Mikael Marcimain (Call Girl). This ambitious TV series and feature film project co-produced by SVT received development support from Nordisk Film & TV Fond. Filming is set to start in March 2013.
